Before purchasing this cleat nailer, I had never conducted a hardwood floor installation. I was on the verge of purchasing a Bostich Manual nailer but thankfully I saw this pneumatic nailer listed on Amazon. My only comment is that this Ramsond nailer is the best $200 investment of my do-it-yourself life. I ordered Ramsond RMM4 Flooring Nailer and it arrived within 4 days in perfect condition. I then used it to install approximately 650 square feet of 3/4″ Bruce Hardwood flooring. The total project used approximately 3000 cleats. I had ZERO misfires or jams. The only problems were caused by MY failure to properly strike the piston with the mallet. As a matter of fact, it took only about 5 practice cleats to determine how to use this nailer. The nailer itself is extremely sturdy with a handle that feels comfortable since it has a nicely designed rubber grip. I found that setting my air compressor to 105 to 110 psi yielded the best results for my floor. The key to using this tool is to firmly hold the nailer down while striking the piston with a steady mallet stroke. I installed pre-finished flooring therefore the design of this nailer prevented damage to the floor surface during the nailing process. After installing 32 boxes of flooring, the nailer still looks brand new.
