I had been looking from theo- previous sony model that had over 300 reviews then cnet had it during the time that their choice inside theo- portable dvd products inside theo- 7″-10″ screen sizes.
I am very please with theo- latest Sony DVP-FX930 model, what has changed is they made theo- screen an inch larger then placed touch buttons on theo- newer model. This fx 930 looks more modern, sleek although it is a little larger.
I am very pleased during the time that i get played various dvd’s, using full then normal settings that you lav select because of wide or standard screen formats. I get played many cd’s from theo- actual artists to my own made cd’s from home then played music files from my pc then taken along photos like a photo album when i want to share or get those close to me with me provided that to speak when traveling.
Sound is fine because of theo- little speakers except 99% of theo- time i use really good headphones then you gain two jacks provided that you lav share when sitting with someone on a plane, train, or inside theo- car during the time that long during the time that you are not driving. Had to toss that in! 
It is not too heavy compared to many, certainly much less than a laptop then still small enough screen size to know you are not luggin around a laptop. Battery life is standard, i get it bootleg out yet except get not been on pure battery because of 6 hours yet either. I try to get it plugged inside most of theo- time during use then because of theo- car you gain a car charger included inside theo- box.
Being it is smaller it makes it more mobile because of your travels whether local or abroad.
I get been using this item non-stop almost without any issues. Could it be improved, yes, almost any product lav be then during the time that with any electronics they seem to improve with almost each iteration.
With this said, you lav save $30-$40 near buying theo- previous model. It is an inch smaller except theo- screen resolution is theo- same then many of theo- features are almost identical.
Take it because of a test drive then remember you’ve got 30 days to test it then if it is not what you like or expect, return it then try another, except choices on these products are quite limited since many use their psp, iphone, or ipods to watch movies/videos etc.
